The 2nd International Conference on NOTES™ is a joint initiative supported by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
Who Should Attend?
The 2nd International Conference on NOTES™ is designed for teams of experts in flexible interventional endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery to explore and set a course of action to resolve the challenges involved in bringing transgastric endotherapy into the clinical realm. The meeting will address the current “state-of-the-art” presented by experts actively participating in the development of Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery™.
NOTES Team Criteria
- Must have a multidisciplinary team, such that the team possesses both advanced therapeutic endoscopic skills and advanced laparoscopic skills.
- Should be SAGES and/or ASGE members.
- Must have animal laboratory facilities to perform research and training.
- Must agree to share lab results with other NOSCAR members.
- Must agree that any and all human procedures be performed only after obtaining Institutional Review Board approval (IRB).
- Must submit all cases to an outcomes registry that will be maintained by the sponsoring societies.
